Halloween

This was the first year I knew my kids would really be into Halloween. But also the first Halloween with P's peanut allergy known. E was a doctor or "McDreamy" as I was calling him:) And P was a Bumble Bee. It was the first year in MANY years that the weather was nice enough to go outside. We first hit Res. Life Church. They throw a Kid's Carnival every year. We got there right when it opened so we avoided the lines. Every game you played-even if you didn't win-you got 3 peices of candy. It was heartbreaking to see P want it and I had to keep saying no. I should start my own Peanut-Free Carnaval! Then we hit the houses in our new neighborhood. We made it about 10 houses with P before Craig went back with her to hand out candy and E and I trekked on...and on ....and on...I don't know how many houses we went too but he got LOADS of candy! We made it back to our house and E helped me hand out candy to everyone. Then as soon as the kids went to bed..I dumped everything on the floor and sepereated all the candy that P couldn't have (which was over half) and filled thier pumpkins with what they could have. Overall..it was a really fun night!!

My Kids!

I have noticed that I don't put near as many pictures of my kids on here as I did with my old blog. So..starting today..not only is it for my business..its to keep you up to date on the Kornoelje household..maybe you care...maybe you don't:) Fall was here and now its gone. Sad. Sad. Day. Before the weather got all nasty and Michigan-like. I took the kids to the park and got some darling pictures. Secret to getting them to smile...thier Dad behind me dancing like a crazy guy! You can see in Paige's face..she wasn't too sure about it. I love how blue thier eyes are in these pictures. They get those from thier Grandpa Kornoelje. Growing up...I always wanted bright blue eyes and now my kids have em!

Babies...Babies!!!!!

One of my best friends is having her first baby!!! I am so excited for them and can't wait to meet the little one! She is due in December with a baby boy.

Erika and I grew up together. Our parents have been friends since they were young and so the tradition continues with us! Between my sister, Erika's sister, myself and Erika..we have 6 boys and 1 girl!! I love it that the 6 boys (ages 6, 5, 3 1/2, 3, 3, soon to be..) can grow up together and have the memories that we had when we got to hang out. Erika...here is a sneak peek at your baby bump. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of it.

Another Walk in the Park

This is the second year I photographed this family. Its so fun to see how much kids change in a year, especially since I haven't seen him since last October. Let me tell you...this kid is just two and talking in FULL sentences. I was in complete awe. What a smart little guy!!

Sunday Catch Up

My kids are napping..well..at least Paige. I thought I would do some catch up on pictures and blogging. I have had two sessions in the last couple weeks. The 1st was a friend of mine from high school and her kids. We met our freshman year and became good friends. We also were in Gratitude together. For those you don't know what Gratitude is, its a singing group made of about 60 kids from area high schools. We practiced EVERY week and had a concert everyother week. It was alot of fun and something that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. Its no longer an active group which is sad. But maybe one day they will start it up again.

Rain, Rain Go away!

What a mess. Its not every year we get 10 inches of rain falling over a course of 3 days but this past weekend left a mess in our house. Craig walked downstairs before church and yelled with the words that make you stop in your tracks "We have water down here!!" He took out the wet/dry vac and got most of the water, we went to church and when we came back....it was worse than before. To spent the rest of the day AND the entire night downstairs with a vacuum trying to stay on top of it. My parents came over to help and maybe they could figure out where the water was coming from. We dug around the house..we dug trenches...it was still pouring in. Monday morning rolled around and it was still coming in...a little slower but still coming in. Our friend, Tim, who is a builder, came over to check things out and ended up staying the whole day working on digging up our yard and replacing the tile that was COMPLETELY blocked with sand and mud. We obviously have cracks in our foundation which need to be taken care of but for now..lets hope this work and we don't get that much rain until we move out of this house!

The Baas Family

I had the pleasure of taking the Baas Family pictures. These beautiful kids were so well behaved and it was a blast taking them!! We headed over to Spring Grove park where on a normal day, there are anywhere from 2-5 other photographers. Its a busy place but so pretty. I loved the colors that they choose...I will be keeping this in mind for my furture family pictures.
