Another Walk in the Park

This is the second year I photographed this family. Its so fun to see how much kids change in a year, especially since I haven't seen him since last October. Let me tell you...this kid is just two and talking in FULL sentences. I was in complete awe. What a smart little guy!!

Sunday Catch Up

My kids are napping..well..at least Paige. I thought I would do some catch up on pictures and blogging. I have had two sessions in the last couple weeks. The 1st was a friend of mine from high school and her kids. We met our freshman year and became good friends. We also were in Gratitude together. For those you don't know what Gratitude is, its a singing group made of about 60 kids from area high schools. We practiced EVERY week and had a concert everyother week. It was alot of fun and something that I will always hold near and dear to my heart. Its no longer an active group which is sad. But maybe one day they will start it up again.

Rain, Rain Go away!

What a mess. Its not every year we get 10 inches of rain falling over a course of 3 days but this past weekend left a mess in our house. Craig walked downstairs before church and yelled with the words that make you stop in your tracks "We have water down here!!" He took out the wet/dry vac and got most of the water, we went to church and when we came back....it was worse than before. To spent the rest of the day AND the entire night downstairs with a vacuum trying to stay on top of it. My parents came over to help and maybe they could figure out where the water was coming from. We dug around the house..we dug trenches...it was still pouring in. Monday morning rolled around and it was still coming in...a little slower but still coming in. Our friend, Tim, who is a builder, came over to check things out and ended up staying the whole day working on digging up our yard and replacing the tile that was COMPLETELY blocked with sand and mud. We obviously have cracks in our foundation which need to be taken care of but for now..lets hope this work and we don't get that much rain until we move out of this house!

The Baas Family

I had the pleasure of taking the Baas Family pictures. These beautiful kids were so well behaved and it was a blast taking them!! We headed over to Spring Grove park where on a normal day, there are anywhere from 2-5 other photographers. Its a busy place but so pretty. I loved the colors that they choose...I will be keeping this in mind for my furture family pictures.

Taya

Meet Taya. Isn't she adorable. I have been taking her pics since she was 3 weeks old! This photo shoot was for her 1st Birthday! I can't believe how fast this year went!!

Justin

Here is my adorable nephew Justin. He is 4 months younger than Evan. We went to the beach for a little photoshoot for his 3rd birthday. We took Austin along for some shots of the brothers! They did great!

Sorry.....

I am a terrible blogger..things have been crazy!! I have been busy with kids and taking pictures. So..I can't complain about those two things. Let's see..where shall I start...Labor Day. It was wonderful. Awesome weather and the kids had a blast at Gun Lake. We took Paige tubing for the first time. She was such a brave girl until the boat started to move...then all I saw through the camera lens was her screaming for me and reaching out her hand. She went for about 2 minutes. But I got some funny pictures!

Oh and we went to the Hudsonville Fair this year too. Evan was still talking about last year's fair so I am thinking this will be a yearly thing for us. What an easy way to drop a load of money. Evan wanted to do all the rides this year and so did Paige..unfortunately she was too small for most of them so she had to watch from her stroller..which did not make her too happy. Overall..this summer went too fast but it was filled with good memories. Not too many accidents, well, if you include Evan getting bit by a squirrel last week. Oh and his mom flipping out about rabies. Don't worry..all is well and he can tell you quite a story if you ask him:)
