Zach

I had the pleasure to take Zach's senior pictures this past Saturday. As we set out on a beautiful day, his mom Sharon and Zach and myself had no idea what kind of adventures we would take on. They are from Detroit and Sharon wanted to take pics in good ol' downtown Grand Rapids. I am getting better but I still hate driving downtown. It freaks me out. I had some ideas and we went full speed ahead. Although we had to dodge a bag of urine with maggots (no need to go on) and then had to keep a look out for the law..oh and homeless people (gotta love G.R.). We had a great day. Zach was a great sport and I got some great shots. Here is a sneak peek for you Sharon....enjoy!

The Wisners

I had to pleasure of photographing the Wisner Family on Friday. We were headed out to Holland Beach. The radar was promising raining but we went anyway. Nicolle has been wanting this for over a year now!! Nicolle and I met through Craig and her husband Matt. Craig and Matt have been friends for years starting through Gun Lake. So now we spend almost every weekend during the summer at the lake. Here is a sneak peek for you Nicolle. I hope you enjoy!!

Vacation......what vacation???

Okay..I am back. So we had our first vacation in FOREVER! We were headed out to Gun Lake with the kids for a week. Fun in the Sun and the 4th of July festivities. Things were going great!! Kids were having a blast....not too many meltdowns..we were having friends out and then on Wednesday..the fun stopped..at least for Craig and myself. Craig has been training for a triathlon and he and our friend Scott Joseph were heading around the lake when Craig fell off his bike (due to something not so smart but we won't go into that) and he broke his hand. He didn't know it until about 5 hours later when he couldn't move it. So needless to say...our vacation stopped being fun:( I am a worrier...always have been...always will be. Thoughts were running through my head all night while he was in the Med Center. Well..its been a week and we found out today that he doesn't need surgery, as previously thought by the doctor. He is in a permanent splint for 4 weeks and then we will go from there. He can still work, much to his disappointment but my happiness:)

Other than that happening....the 4th was fun!! The park we stay at has a parade every year and the kids get all dressed up (my favorite part!!) and they decorate their bikes, wagons and strollers. Both kids got to stay up for the fireworks. I was nervous about Paige but she did great. No tears and she kept yelling.."MORE MORE!!" We also had a turtle race....we didn't win but there is always next year!! Enjoy these pics!! There is alot of them:)
